50 minutes door-to-door - including a quick coffee pick-up. For 8km, that’s a pretty standard OCTranspo performance. It pains me to say that was one of my better commutes. 8/8

Lots of people at the stop so it could have been crowded. But 6 high school kids just said “f it, let’s skip” and walked away. OCTranspo 1, Education 0 2/

I “might” consider riding OCTranspo if their busses look like this…then again, maybe not #ottawa#octranspo#metal

I am, of course, writing this from an OCTranspo bus that was 12 minutes late and whose driver just honked at a car driver coming straight at us in the wrong lane to get around…you guessed it…a pedestrian whose sidewalk is blocked by a construction dumpster.

Ottawa has historically been a city focused on peak transit. The new reality and where it's more likely to see ridership increase is from an all day network. #OCTranspo#StopTheDeathSpiral Image from Jarrett Walker's Human Transit.

Feeling more discouraged than usual about our city tonight. Rumours about another big cut to OCTranspo making me feel like all my work is for naught. Will we ever hit the bottom of this death spiral?
