recent thread, "important gateway to the field" is what's most concerning. for more than a decade I volunteered judging and organizing events as gateways into a competitive creative field, that most entries were beginner work and not yet well known further complicates filtering out this new gray goo

I used to volunteer with them, I was a clinic escort and did other stuff with them. Now I do other local organizing. I have my critiques of PP but overall they're a fine organization.
