Scranton friends: Sunday at 5:00 at Courthouse Square we will mourn the Palestinians and Israelis who have been killed over the last year. We are an interfaith group with inevitably different views on solving the bigger conflict, but united by a desire for a permanent, just, & peaceful resolution.

because democracy's actual purpose is not enough: neither freedom nor tolerance, dialogue among different opinions and the key principle of the possibility of peaceful change of government are sufficient. If they were, we wouldn't have to worry about democracy's global demise.

It's just so sad and scary... Back when it was peaceful I had a super bad agoraphobia, and now that I'm recovering little by little everything turned upsite down... I think it's mostly the young people (20-30s) who cause riots, but there are some savage +40s as well

Reading in my grandparent's cabin in the New Mexico mountains. I would lie on the couch and open a window so I could hear the river. Probably the most peaceful I've ever felt 😌
