I'm hoping it's a lot like the 2013 season, when there were a lot of foundation elements laid, they made some key pickups in the off season, and won the shield the next year.

Better than the opposite. In Texas, where there is a stop sign, heavy traffic and pedestrians large pickups blast through intersections at high speed to get groceries.

Fab photo. I once made a drum trigger pad like that from six coasters, a bit of foam, some piezo pickups and an old compact cassette caddy (remember them?) 🥁

A few cool vintage paperback pickups.

Two vintage Agatha Christie paperback novels, the mysterious affair at styles and the mousetrap, and a first timescape paperback edition of Roger zelazney’s eye of cat

I think part of what made the event fun was the comp/style we figured out mid tourney and having to learn it was new. It relied a lot on figuring out what to play to and doing it better each set def something you only get from pickups.

Fodera Crescent bass

The Fodera Crescent bass is a 6-string with a long upper bout (going all the way to the 12th fret!) and a deep lower cutaway. A curve below the bridge as well as a curve on the bottom give you different ways to hold it on your lap when you're sitting down. The controls for the dual coil passive pickups are on the top of the body. There are neat inlays on the 7th, 12th, and 19th frets and a Fodera butterfly logo on the headstock, but those aren't the coolest artistic touches on the bass.
Here's the back of the bass. The input jack is back here, but the majority of the back is taken up by an interpretation of John Coltrane's tone circle.

One time in a parking garage there were two extended-cab pickups parked across from each other. Their trailer hitches stuck out even further into the driving lane, making for a TREACHEROUS pass.

Aww nice! Tail Concerto is one of my bucket list PS1 pickups, such a cool game. And yeah, it's one sweet list of games.
