queer Bridgerton fans! if you want more love stories now that the season is over, check out my pay-what-you-want zine of flash and short Sapphic fiction 💐 downloadable files at bernie-jsyk.itch.io (link also in bio) Happy Pride, dear readers! ✍️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

A half-page zine bound with lilac thread on a wood backdrop. The cover is styled to look like a Victorian pamphlet with a floral illustration, and the title reads “A Pillowbook of Pressed Violets: A Zine of Six Sapphic Romances and Queer Victorian Joy.” In smaller print, a quote from Sappho reads “Someone, I tell you, will remember us, even in another time.”
A close-up of the zine’s table of contents, with a photo of a translucent yellow violet seemingly pressed in the book.
An interior shot of the zine, including more pressed violets near the spine.
Another interior shot, this one featuring pressed purple wildflowers and a bit of marginalia noting a meeting time.

I’m no expert in Japanese history, though I have read Genji, Heike, Pillowbook and some other classics and pre/post-war literature, but damn, place is crawling with dudes who “studied the blade.”

Omg I had a copy published by Carroll and Graff in the 80s that was like a pillowbook with period engravings and shit. Dude that’s why they laugh when we say fanny pack! You have to specify front fanny or back fanny to differentiate.
