Yeah, for real. Turns out it's just some kind of wonky anti-DDOS prevention thing that loads of sites run, and from a quick glance it seems to have issues with certain extensions that ping the server a bit too much (like adblockers :).)

In _some_ of the European countries affected by floods the discussions basically started with “Who the fuck was the genius that cut flood prevention-related budgets _after_ the weather services started predicting increased flooding in the coming years?” IMO the only valid question/discussion.
wow I love this type of idea for an anti-special. I think the strongest element of it would easily be the prevention of superjumps. seems really interesting to mess with jumps considering how strong they are (and the fact that they arent directly affected by anything currently in the game)
I don't/ didn't presume fraud prevention is the biggest priority. My prediction was based on it being a growing priority, because of the fraud epidemic, but not the biggest.
Having lived a fair bit on flood plains in the UK, one thing that surprises me here is the total lack of interest in flood prevention infrastructure. I’ve lived by balancing lakes. We sort of have them here, in that lakes on the Little Sackville have dams and sluices, but they’re not in good repair.
