I was taken to see Jim Hensen’s The Dark Crystal when it came out (1982). I was 2 or 3 years old! I have had pupaphobia (fear of puppets) since. I try to watch it every few years just to see if I can manage it & still can barely get 5 minutes in. Hon. Mention goes to Return to Oz.
My pupaphobia has given me the intrusive thought that this dummy of Bush is really him, trapped in an ironic Twilight Zone level fate complete with a narration from an omnipotent Rod Serling
The tragedy that my children's pupaphobia (fear of puppets) is depriving us of this experience 😭
