One thing I’ve often questioned is how real the condescension actually is, and how much it’s been weaponized and sold back as something real. Certainly people are fed awful lies and when they believe them they are ripe for condescension.

Red ones are sweeter and it’s also easier to tell when they’re ripe (and are actually nice enough to eat raw). Downside is the birds see them ripening too.
