That standard's called RelMeAuth and it's been around ages; I've also recommended it, but it's different than verifying account ownership via OAuth because it's less likely adversarial platforms (e.g. Twitter) would implement it. SSO at least has form on the platforms people would use to verify.

Is it also possible to add a field to the account profile to let the user to link to the homepage URL with the rel="me" attribute like, e.g. GitHub and Mastodon do? With a link from the homepage to the profile on Bluesky, people would be able to verify the account by themselves through RelMeAuth.
