this years @MLS playoff scenarios are way better than the @premierleague Relegation "Battles" #ImJustSaying ⚽ 🇺🇸 🏴
Guy sitting in the last relegation place beered me yesterday. Sure, buddy
oh yes, WE the fans want them to accept promotion/relegation, but in most leagues THEY the owners decide if that actually happens it's much cheaper and easier to lobby the league to kill promotion/relegation than it is to find a way to make money under a promotion/relegation system
Promotion and relegation would so much fun for the fans but so much downside risk for (at least) a third of the billionaire owners who make decisions in sports, so it's DOA
I know promotion/relegation is too much to ask for in MLB, but how about if your team is in last place, John Fisher becomes your owner.
I’ve seen it joked about before, but I do think a relegation system could be very entertaining. Bottom two teams from each league gone every year. Biggest hurdle is the farm system aren’t independent teams, but we are a creative species!
last day of learnedleague and although I am squarely in the middle of the rundle and am in no danger of either relegation or promotion, I am quite pleased with this season because I have my highest TCA ever. (More than the season where I got promoted to A - that required a lot of luck to happen.)
