I've had more fun trying different things, like attending SGDQ, meeting up with both furs and gamers at SpeedGamingLive this past week, and going out to visit just one person rather than spend all the coin on a con. It's got me wondering if I've attended my last furcon. There's so much more to do.
I was namedropped in an article interviewing a game designer for Metroid Samus Returns and Metroid Dread because of my SGDQ 2018 run of Samus Returns. I'm actually in shock WHAT!!! The moment of me spending 10 minutes on one trick will live forever in people's minds LOL
It dawned on me earlier... tomorrow I will be doing my first non-randomizer speedrun since @ambercyprian.bsky.social and I's run of Zelda Four Swords back at SGDQ 2023. It's been a very good hiatus. Looking forward to being back :)
At times I deal with thinking I've done nothing with my weight loss journey, but then I look back at SGDQ Online 2020 and realize that I really have come a long way. I still have a bit to go, but I'm confident I'll make it to my goals.
Things are inverted for this event where registration opened way before Run Submissions and Volunteer applications. For SGDQ (and other past events that I can remember) reg always opened after Runs/Volunteers were applying. I think it's probably fine.
Sure but times were also tough before SGDQ too. Genuinely curious if its always low registration before the games list. I do remember last AGDQ registration didn't cap either. Makes me wonder if people just dont want to travel to Pittsburgh in January (especially if theyre scraping by financially)
Genuine question was SGDQ registration this slow? Just personally I know so few people who are for sure going to AGDQ. Feels like something about it is making people less interested. Do people not like the location? Was it just this year was earlier than normal? Genuinely curious
Decided to do a Morrowind AMQ run in anticipation of AGDQ submissions opening up. It was going great until it suddenly wasn't. Still 16s faster RTA than my SGDQ run, though.
