thinking kinda that SSGs are great up until you want to write your blog somewhere that isn't at your desk. would really like an app that has an embedded install of jekyll, git, and neocities-cli and a nice interface for making blog posts LOL..

forgot to mention that SSGs like jekyll will output HTML that you can just dump into Neocities to update. they're tools entirely external to Neocities and the like. (oop i thought the crop settings on images were just for previews, not outright cropping stuff out! i'm a fool)

I want SSGs like Eleventy to be the Next Thing after Matt finishes up his tantrum. I’ve been provisioning and deploying WP with Trellis for years and I don’t want to go back to hand-carving hosting accounts.

A great many of my gripes would be on their way to resolved if the Army did a better job of culling incompetent SSGs and mid-grade DA civilians out of its ranks
