Alors j'ai lu The Chesnut Man de Søren Sveistrup. Excellent scandinoir, je n'ai pas vu le twist arriver même s'il y a un peu de longueurs.

😂😂 they’d have to in The Netherlands. It’s not cars we’ve spent 5 nights away avoiding. What Scandinoir by the way? Always want a recommendation.

I just realised that whenever we watch a Scandinoir and they’re sat in a car on a stakeout or something… you never see 20,000 cyclists streaming past.

! Is this for domestics , nabbing Russian cartel bosses, manufacturing stylish snowmobiling suits for law enforcement? I have seen many Scandinoir episode on human trafficking . How bad can it be when y’all keep the door locked to desperate ppl ?

I agree! American remakes can't really do justice to Scandinoir!

Today’s shower thought: Lords of Chaos is a Scandinoir. How truly sick is early 90s Norway when the most visible escape from the stifling, traditionalist mainstream are a bunch of aimlessly violent edgelord Nazis?

Someone else has already recommended Deadloch, but to elaborate: ScandiNoir murder mystery, but funny, Australian, and containing a statistical-outlier number of lesbians. Social satire wrapped in an odd-couple laugh-a-minute comedy wrapped in an entirely functional mystery-box murder-to-solve.

Just finished Danish crime drama Grow on Channel 4. Much as I love a bit of Scandinoir, this was just unremittingly bleak and nasty. And worst of all, it didn’t have a proper ending, just another set of story lines to be picked up in series two.
