So apparently other people can see the SciEd list I have created. I am not going to create a starter pack but the list is made up of anyone I follow linked to science education. It is mainly teachers I think. I do not know everyone so not personally recommendations. Just based on bios.
Dr. Eric Chudler & I at Univ of WA did thousands of pipe cleaner neurons w K-12 students! I also started science fridays on playground at Wedgwood Elem & did 100s more! Great #Neuroscience#SciEd#EducationOutreach activity! Do you know about website Neuroscience for Kids? It ran out of NSF SEPA $.
If you are in education but not SciEd also very happy to follow of course!
I think several people have followed me recently due to the ChatChemistry starter pack. I am being very cautious on here after experiences on the other place but please do either add a bio or say hello so I know you are a science teacher or other SciEd person. Can then add you to my SiEd list!
Finding it very helpful on BlueSky that I can create a list and then pin that list to create a wonderful feed of posts. Each time a new person follows me, if they have a SciEd role in their bio I add to my SciEd list. It is growing very nicely.
By pinning feeds. So I ignore Discover. I look at Following, #ChatChemistry#SciTeachUK Quiet Posters and SciEd (which is my own list of people I follow involved in science education). This is because I want to use BlueSky to discuss science education and to connect with others working in it.
Quite. At the very least I can find people in the SciEd community here and contact them. Worth experimenting with pinning feeds and lists. I am taking charge of what I see!
I have made a SciEd list and have then pinned that. It has all the people I follow who are science teachers or linked to science education. I still look at the main followers feed because I don't want to live in a total echo chamber but I think it is helping me pick things up I want to see.
To be honest I am only looking at my Following feed and others I have added with SciEd hashtags. Family and friends are not as SciEd obsessed as me so I now have a place again where I can discuss it!
