First time my GP has offered Covid. Profoundly grateful not to have to scrabble around for transport

My grandad worked in a coal mine near Swansea when he was young. He *hated* coal, and the idea that people would have to go underground to scrabble for it. 200 years from now kids will look on our insane enthusiasm for burning precious, useful hydrocarbons the same we we look at The Empire now

We used to have this ancient iteration of Junior Scrabble, and given that small child logic dictated that mice went under sofas, apes lived 'abroad' and elephants ate plums, I did used to puzzle over exactly what tigers wanted with ink.

Obscurely saddened to have a word corrected (correctly) by an editor, presumably because (says Merriam-Webster) it is "somewhat old-fashioned". But! Just encountered the word "serpentinization". It happens when certain minerals and water react (possibly on Mars as well as Earth!) New Scrabble goal.
