I highly recommend Seveneves by Neal Stephenson, it's currently $1.99. It's about what would "realistically" happen if the moon exploded. Be aware the third quarter of the book feels like a completely different book. Still good, but different.

I’ve just read Seveneves by Neal Stephenson. The ending was abrupt and I am now annoyed that there is no sequel. 🫤. What’s the German word for an abrupt ending you were totally unprepared for because you were reading on a kindle and didn’t have the tactile feedback of the physical pages dwindling?
