I've received a beautiful taonga. Incredible artist @kimtairi.bsky.social made me a Māori doll, she is intricately crafted, please read the details as I see them in Alt Text I have named her Kimi which I believe is the Māori version of Kim obviously being the artist's name but also my middle name

Baby doll has beautiful Pohutukawa hair, her big brown eyes are embordered, as are her lovely features, she has moko kauae which is delicately sewen in green thread. She is wearing a finely crafted coat
Up close we see some special touches, blushing cheeks pink on her coffee skin and a trail of freckles as my mum always called them kisses from the sun marching proudly across her cheeks and nose. There is a cleverly constructed green cone stitched and positioned I think as an earring or flower in her hair - made from soft light molding clay I think
Beneath her cloak a pretty silk dress, hand dyes and hand embordered and Kim's maker's label
From behind we can see better the Pohutukawa hair and her clever cloak

Well, you could buy jars of picked bums, pickled tits and pickled peckers, I recall also pickled babies and pickled grandma, they were fashioned from old stockings stuff with cotton balls and sewen to look vaguely like the thing. Mostly sold at markets stalls which were a really big thing in the 80s

Something I just about. Back in the 80's Good Bears of the World #GBW use to make "bear ears" and sell them at the shows they would be at as a fund raiser. They were pretty basic, scraps of fur, sewen together to look like teddy bear ears, attached to a head band. I think they were a few dollars
