I watch a lot of videos related to trains I and just got served a JR commercial where the only word I understood was Shinkansen.
But yes it’s quite obvious the TGV papers over not running like a railroad with good destination penetration and speed. But you can run a railroad and do those things. (Mini-Shinkansen maybe the best example in the developed world?)
