TIL the dad in THE SHADOWLESS TOWER (still haven't seen, it's in the queue) is played by Tian Zhuangzhuang, best known for directing THE HORSE THIEF (one of Martin Scorsese's faves), the SPRINGTIME IN A SMALL TOWN remake, THE BLUE KITE, THE GO MASTER. Whaddya know!
We first discovered it when we were painting our new house early in springtime & had windows open. We kept hearing eagles but couldn't see them. Finally I caught one of the Steller's in the act. We have eagles that nest nearby so the jays see/hear them regularly.
