Back from my 4th Halloween. Amazingly, no rain this time! While it wasn't dazzling, this glimpse of blue sky through thin clouds was the first time I'd seen any at all since Monday a week ago. Crowded USJ, still lots of fun. Best trip so far.

🧵3/11 They were the first of three sets of old hunting camps still on the AT. This was the second: Old Antlers Camps on Lower Jo-Mary Lake. Unlike Carrying Place, these cabins were long ago abandoned to the forest. Most were ruined shells, gradually crumbling through slow years of neglect.
cool, i'm doing two coats for the base coat over the undercoat it seems - first coat is streaky as hell, second coat looks smooth af now i'm concerned i'm putting too much water into the paint on the palette - should i be putting a drop into a coin sized amount of paint, less? just wet the brush?
