Local circumstances always differs, ofc, and I'm not saying you should think about selling tix to a TEDx seminar about it that would pay for a nice vacation, but ... you'd make some sales among our union steering committee, dealing with this exact problem rn

A student nominated me to give a TEDx talk! Does anyone have any advice?

anyway our group this morning was to watch and discuss maybe the least relatable mental health TEDx talk I've ever seen and we had coffee and leftover birthday cake and now I need a nap before the 2 hour marathon group this afternoon

exactly. they say what they think the "market", funders, analysts, their peers, their entourages, TEDx bench-warmers, LinkedIn algorithms want to hear. it's like the guys who don't quite believe in things like diversity at the workplace but mouth the "correct" things to appear credible.
