Ahhh, I know what you mean. It might as well have just been a re-skinned Teostra fight. Zinogre and Rajang were also some of my favorites. And that water Elder Dragon— Namielle I think it's name was— God, it was so visually amazing.
That's actually a really good question. When I started, it was Tobi-Kadachi. But I met Lunastra and Teostra and immediately fell in love. But the Great Jagras has a place in my heart too. And even though I hated fighting him, without the Tigrex set, I probably would have been screwed.
Same reason Teostra and Kushala are also ones that can show up, they recognize that Allmother will destroy the ecosystem and if that happens they'll have nothing to prey on
I actually Find Lunastra to be fun! I genuinely think World has the best iteration of Lunastra and Teostra. Tell me to fight Lunastra and Teostra in old gen and I'll do it but.. reluctantly.. TELL ME TO FIGHT LUNASTRA AND TEO IN WORLD. YES. I'LL FIGHT THEM BOTH!!
I have such a soft spot for Rathian, Rathalos, and Teostra. Love me some Tobi Kadachi and Legiana too. Odagoran is best puppy. Vaal Hazak claimed a top spot due to its really incredible design. The new Rey Dau looks so cool!
Teostra + Rathalos Red coloration + Fire-Element + Themes of royalty is an instant win for me. Teostra plays more literally into the lion aspect, whilst Rathalos is more subtly thematic with "Liolaeus" I may not have played a game myself, but that ain't stopping me from loving the franchise
