Yes. It seems to me that we could crash CO2 output and still create anthropogenic mass extinction... And that total systemic change is essential - and possible - to avoid this. But we need a narratives of how that change would look and feel - which is the point of the whole #Thrutopian movement.

True. But you can pin a lot more on nobody offering a route to a viable 'right things' that isn't 'Go live in a strawbale hut and eat grass'. We need grounded, useful, viable, practical routes towards a future that will work. Or we're toast... This is what Thrutopian writing is all about.

However, most climate fiction is dystopian. Which is fine, but I make the argument that we have an abundance of that type of climate fiction / cli-fi. And so the project I founded and manage is looking for and publishes thrutopian or utopian, or hope filled climate fiction.
