A phone snap from.our new house after getting the keys yesterday. It's all been exciting and exhausting in equal measure. Not actually moved on yet but have some kitchen stuff in place now.

A photo of Beinn Alligin and rhe west end of Liathach with a peek of Upper Loch Torridon. Photo by and copyright of Lynn Henni.

This is my happy place. Nowhere else I’ve been ever gives me such a feeling of calm and relaxation.

Scottish Highlands. Rough single track path weaving through grass & heather down to Loch Torridon. Two Munro’s, Beinn Alligin and Liathach, in the top right with Torridon village in the bottom right.
Scottish highlands. Two Munro’s in the background, Liathach and Beinn Eighe, with sharp ridge lines stretching away into the distance. In the foreground is a rock, grass and heather moorland.
Scottish highlands. A mountain bike in the foreground, facing toward the camera. A rough, single track path goes off into the distance on the right, towards a hill loch that can just be glimpsed. In the background, a steep sided Munro, Maol Chean-dearg. High clouds in the sky.
Scottish highlands. A steep sided Munro, Maol Chean-dearg fills the frame with the rocks and scree slope up to the saddle in the top right of the photo.

Yes that was one of those weeks where we said “we’re off to Torridon” and rather than look at the hills and just do some coastal walks instead we decided we’d climb it regardless. Nowadays if there isn’t a half decent chance of a view I don’t bother…

It was all my son's idea, I said what you do want for your 21st Birthday, he said I don't know, I replied how about a week away somewhere, he said lets go to Scotland, so we spent a fantastic week based in Sheildaig near Torridon, just photography and video. (Day trip to Skye was his idea too!)

Another from the soon to be departed GFX, the Old Man of Storr, Skye. Hard work climbing up for this view - but a good start to an epic day with my son, after a two hour drive in pouring rain from Torridon #Fujifilm#Skye#Landscape#Scotland

Pros: It is a stunningly beautiful area. Gairloch beach is fab - Big Sands nice too It's large enough to have a few shops and restaurants/hotels/pubs and local services. I wanna go back

Gairloch beach in slightly dull weather. Long sandy beach. Photo taken from a viewpoint on a path leading down to the beach. 2014.
View of the sea and Torridon hills behind. Some thin low clouds/mist over the hills, some tops emerging. Cloud cover higher in the sky is pierced by some bright sunshine rays, with a little bit of blue sky visible to the top.
