Quite right. I only use it to watch TOTP repeats, The Tripods and Doctor Who.

Apparently the 2 August 1996 episode (which was shown on BBC2) was the least watched episode (at the time) in Top Of The Pops history Only 2.5m watched it #TOTP

Catching up on the #totp repeats, just remembered an anxiety dream I had in 1996 where I was couriering sausages round a crowded urban landscape for my sadistic and unforgiving bosses, the two old boys who sang the chorus to the Macarena.

Seeing this on some show or other is a real protean pop awakening memory for me, the equivalent of (even) old(er) geezers seeing Starman on TOTP. Magnificent tune, wish I’d given it greater consideration now

In the UK on BBC4 on Friday nights from 7pm, they broadcast archive editions of the chart show Top Of The Pops ( #TOTP ) and the many posts that attracts are a combination of both, from fandoms slugging it out to crying with your friends "how was that 40 years ago?"

TOTP often only played the crap stuff. I saw one with Peter Andre hosting recently then couldn't bear to watch.

I remember liking a lot of songs from the 90's, then I watch totp and think what's all this rubbish? Maybe it was all the later stuff - it's still fun to watch.
