i was reading about toucans today and it turns out unlike a lot of birds the males and females look generally the same instead of only the former being colorful. go to hell if you don’t think that’s interesting. you probably would have gone your whole life not knowing this if it wasn’t for this post

This afternoon, the toucans found the ripe laurel fruits and came down for a quick snack. This is a Yellow-throated Toucan #birds#toucans

The image shows a yellow-throated toucan (Ramphastos ambiguus) perched among lush green foliage. The bird has a striking appearance with a large, colorful beak that is primarily yellow with a dark maroon-black base. Its body is mostly black, while its throat and chest are vivid yellow, and its eye is surrounded by a bright green area. The toucan is partially hidden by the surrounding leaves, with some red berries visible in the foreground.

yeahh, i wish all birds were more like toucans. and these areas are usually nature reserves or uni campus (and even on campuses they're still hard to find) :[ i'm going on a trip next year and i think i'll be staying near a forest, so maybe i'll get lucky and find some different birds

Got these stickers a lil while ago, I love them so much ❤️ Put the compost bag pijons, ring necked dove and the pijon on the right of it in my phone case, it's super cute !

Several pages of stickers held in hand in front of a large pigeon plushie. The stickers display cutesy pigeons in a gardening theme, crows with various weapons, and toucans with ice cream.

A large flock of toucans and parrots surrounded my house tonight as they were getting ready to roost. This Yellow-throated Toucan had been drinking water out of the bromeliad behind it, but I'm too tired to post video right now. 😂 #birds

This image shows a Yellow-throated Toucan (Ramphastos ambiguus) perched among lush green foliage. The bird's most striking feature is its large, colorful bill, which has a vibrant yellow upper mandible and a dark maroon lower mandible. The toucan's throat and chest are bright yellow, while its body is mostly black with a red patch near its lower belly. The toucan is nestled in a natural tropical environment, surrounded by broad green leaves and branches, giving a clear sense of its natural habitat.
