oh shit ref sheets... i can read Raleigh the Rapidash (he/him) by Devicre (fa) Anri the Alolan Ninetales (he/her) by olympiaxylaige (fa) Abaddon the Hisuian Typh (he/her/hole) by @vantablackbox.bsky.social@pupbrained.bsky.social#AlethiaArtsNSFW#AlethiasToys
Jackie Ess's novel Darryl got a good bit of attention, it doesn't necessarily register as a black transfemme novel because the main character is a cis white guy, but some of the reviews and interviews about the book touch on this. Eg: www.triangle.house/jackie-ess-i...
And even when you do, most of the most prominent black trans novelists - Solomon, Emezi, Callender, etc. - aren't transfemme. The only book here that I've seen pop up with regularity is LOTE, and even then it's hardly the most common.
Once I opened a YT video about "building a transfemme wardobe on a budget" and the youtuber opened the video by explaining she was going to TRY to buy a single outfit for less than $100 like it was the most difficult thing in the world.
I was told I should “take time to goof off” more which like: - I’m an openly Transfemme content creator, I have to work 3x smarter and harder than most just to get a crumb of attention. - what do you think I do on discord during day job hours.
I am SO participating in the Oct. 25th bsky transfemme drag day
🎯 october 25th, bsky transfemme drag day, show the boys how it's done, revisit that old territory with the newfound conviction of your transition, let your womanhood be an o2 tank as you dive back into mascness for a day . go hard, dudes rock
Joyously I threw my posting schedule to the wind this weekend, so tomorrow I’m gonna post some sort of round-up, something like “Black Transfemme Novelists You Should Read Right Now,” and leave Finding Home for later ❤️
