I have not seen nearly enough people talking about Wistoria: Wand and Sword. What started off as a tropefest that needed to prove itself has turned into an action-packed series that keeps me on the edge of my seat and clutching my breath. Amazing work by @wildercorey.bsky.social and the whole cast
It is less a horror tropefest and more a classical work: powerful/talented person suffers a tragedy, makes a deal with shady people to regain their power, awakens to reality and takes control of their fate, and while the ending may be tragic she was in control and remained true to her self.

this one is different, the people who hated the new ones love it as a “return to form”, the ones who liked the new ones (much more visible now!) treat it as a retread and to me (neither, only seen Alien) it seems like a tropefest that asks boring questions

I dropped after ep 1, I could see it would be a tropefest and some of those tropes are my most hated
Started Kdrama Perfect Marriage Revenge last night. It's a tropefest, but if you squint and pretend it was made in say ... 2007, it's kind of fun. However, the makeup artists back then were -- to put it kindly -- god awful.
