#TuesdayBlue "Fluke Up" is a quilt by Angela Damico. She was inspired to design this quilt when she was out on the open sea & encountered a whale feeding. Most of the fabric is hand marbled vintage linen. Angela both hand & machine quilted it.

#TuesdayBlue Heather, Gretchen, & Amy (Palo Alto, Ca) collaborated on the design and construction of this quilt. Heather did the center block. Then they took turns adding borders around the center. The quilt was started in 2018 & finished it in 2024. "Enchanted Ocean" seems like a pretty good name.

#TuesdayBlue Elizabeth Magee (Montara, Ca) made this gorgeous mountain vista quilt. It is her original design. She said that her inspiration for this quilt came from a shower curtain. Elizabeth named it Mountain Serenade. I added a close-up of the trees.

#TuesdayBlue Layne Rahbar of the N. Cal. Quilt Council made her photo of Marina Beach into a quilt. She added the paraglider to the design. Check-out the cloud quilting in the sky & the dune quilting on the sand!

#TuesdayBlue At the 2024 quilt show they had an extensive display that depicted famous national monuments. Linda Syverson-Guild of Bethesda Maryland created this one about the National Arcives. I really love her composition.
