Basing the content of Ugaratic texts, which aren't Canaanite, and from the Bronze Age on Canaanite Cultures from the Iron Age is a bit problematic IMO. It's like saying Medievsl Christian interpretations of Irish Myth represent Ancient Gaulish religions.
