He’s been gone over a year, but every time I use up a paper towel roll I still wait for Mister Peebles to come running when he hears me unscrew the holder so he can get his tube. 💔

Mister Peebles sitting demurely, paws crossed, on a purple velour chaise lounge. He is a scraggly looking chihuahua-yorkie.

Every time I see "Tommy John Surgery" I picture the Sean John line of clothing from high school popularity and imagine a bunch of doctors in big jeans and Timberlands with a velour hoodie doing operations. Why is my brain like this?

And here are my 3 purchases: 2 needlepoint flower tall skinny framed pieces (Amelia’s Vintage Life), and a pink velour string art boat (Vintage Colour Decor). It’s all perfectly tacky and I love them.

Relatable.

BlueSky post from Mondo Mascots:

Kotomi-chan, a duck with a camellia in her hair, is the mascot for Tokyo's Koto Ward. She enjoys staring blankly at the ocean.

[picture of Kotomi-chan - a person in a rather cartoonish duck costume, with a deep pink camellia flower with grean leaves in her hair. Velour. Whatever.]

Looked at through the right lens, you bet! I like the eccentricities brand fanboys seek out: “This is the only ‘87 Taurus with a black exterior and a tan velour interior and the towing package and alloy wheels. One of one!”

Tbf, it's not bad casting for the character

Mark Goddard as Major Don West in the original 60s Lost in Space. A square-jawed matinée icon in pure velour.
