yup. altho i agree that the gas has toxic fumes, but i'm so used to them after 70 years.... Lower East Side basement apartment 40+ years ago... shotgun, the kitchen in the back with s back door, cold cold cold 😝 we would turn on all the burners AND the oven to try to watm the place up. often.
