like sorry i can't physically buy into the idea that some websites are so transcendentally good that they make you a better person and likewise escape their nature of being run by venture capitalists who will be shitty at some point guaranteed
Granted I still need to remember what websites I had saved on FireFox, but that’s the least of my worries. Should be no biggie.
It's a good question. I miss websites. And functional search engines to find them.
This is so true though, the algorithm on those websites trained us to just completely lock into one specific niche to get attention and even then it didn't work out at all. Bsky feels better in that regard with the algorithm not being biased towards who makes the most or who's sponsored or verified.
my previous post was almost immediately followed up with a reply from @azurearkangel829.bsky.social telling me i could apparently just go on certain ubisoft websites and download them from there! lower res than i remember but still very grateful to save my time having to trudge through discord dms.

thankfully most are reposts/crossposts from other websites but that's obviously not gonna last tho saving the link either somewhere else or as a browser bookmark is a temporary option
You buy a domain (I recommend NameCheap) then follow these instructions in the link. Everyone’s pages are essentially websites. bsky.social/about/blog/4...
Not everybody. Some are RSS feeds and some are data APIs. Only the truly pure get to be websites.
