I sometimes think about if my personal rage would be as strong, if not for the genocide denial of my PhD supervisor trying to fail me *because of* (among other things) caring about Cambodian and Yazidi genocide, but I'm also glad my Cambodian friend couldn't make my PhD defense to witness it happen.
