What's interesting is, at least from a ZeFrank video on them, only a fraction of mosquito species drink blood, and of that fraction another smaller fraction drink human blood, so the ones that are direct vectors for disease transmission are just a handful of the thousands of species on the planet.

ZeFrank made a song many years ago poking fun at anti-intellectualism as part of a broader contrarian, "I'm too cool for ___" identity. I know some of the anti-vaxxers I've met are full conspiratorial while others are just reflexive "don't tell me what to do" types.
