I wish all the lost full Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Saban Toei Zyu2 footage was found and released
Lol, and Zyu2 footage wasn't exactly going to last them a few seasons either.
And the Zyu2 stuff was definitely made in house, and I still suspect season 2 Voltron stuff was also done in house at Toei in Japan! The End
This led to weird situations where you would see the Dairanger robots doing something, it would cut a Zyu2 monster, and then back to Dairanger footage so a lot of times the monster and the robot fighting it were never in the same scene! Very weird!
They were sort of reverse engineering a story out of it! And before they used all the Zyu2 footage up the Dairanger footage became available so they started mixing Zyu2 footage with Dairanger stuff and leaving a lot of Zyu2 footage on the cutting room floor!
I think it's also worth noting that when Power Rangers was a huge success in the US and Saban ran out of Zyuranger footage to use, they commissioned Toei to make additional Zyuranger footage, known by fans as Zyu2 powerrangers.fandom.com/wiki/Zyu2
