To get enough ammo you grind by going around the edges of the space, to regenerating bad guys in corner rooms. You go back and forth among 2-3 types until you're loaded up. You avoid the room of grenade launcher guys. The boss launches grenades at you whenever there's a line of sight. Easy to die!
