Within a cluster of stones offered up & strewn by flash floodwater, I found this dainty ammonite fossil. & by it I’ve been captivated! That this was a sea-dwelling creature living 66 million years+ ago &, until today (almost certainly) no human eyes had ever set on it, boggles my mind. #paleontology
