Nice! A close relative to our Ground Skinks? Ours are easily the shyest and least commonly observed herps on our plot. Only 2 confirmed in the past decade. Whereas will spot a dozen Green Anoles and a couple of 5-Lined Skinks daily year round, as long as the winter sun is out.
This Lizard is actually from Friday! I see him mainly on the mulberry tree and the pepper plants! I think he is one of the Baby Lizards from earlier this year!🦎
Why are anoles so cute? I see something fall in the leaves, looking over I see nothing until a little anoles pops its head up and look around.
it's funny bc like, rose colored glasses aside, waikiki's nature was largely geckos and cockroaches (and anoles, and jellyfish in the canal...) recently, i found out we get jellyfish at where the la river meets the ocean, and they're the same type! and sea turtles come up to eat them. idk
