Antizionism is good and necessary but "zio" is a term coined by David Duke of the KKK to describe all Jews. When you employ that shit you play right into the zionist narrative that any criticism of Israel is just antisemetism.

It is in the fascist's interests for the anti-fascist to have to repeat "Antizionism is not antisemitism" like bart simpson after every protestor is smeared this way. And again "anti-jewish racism/xenophobia" still has all the history you described. It's all pedantic but important IMO

Antizionism never has any overlap with antisemitism, you see.

An article of mine published last month "Fear and Fantasy in the 19th Century: Antizionism before Zionism" Radical irrationalist anti-Zionism developed *before* the Zionist movement itself, and separately from rational pro-Palestinian political advocacy www.degruyter.com/document/doi...

One of my single biggest complaints about mainstream American antiZionism is it so often does a piss poor job of gatekeeping ZOG shit out of their rhetoric and spaces; which winds up only hurting their cause and objectives because they can’t realistically shake the antisemitism charges!

I think it’s possible to hold welcoming space for antiZionists in Jewish spaces however I appreciate that, particularly within the US, a fair bit of normative antiZionism has been tainted with antisemitism in ways that are difficult to tease out without inflammatory and destructive confrontations.

I think maybe there is a lesson here about "antizionism"( in the sense of believing that Israel should not exist and not just that it's a bad actor run by bad people) and the motivations of the people who adhere to that philosophy that you are refusing to engage with.
