Me to a Ranger fan coworker: "Astros miss the ALCS one year, and the rest of you people let the Yankees back in World Series. The AL has no backbone. Just disgusting. You sorry for giving us a hard time now?" Him: "...yeah...kind of..."

Y’all cheered for the Astros leaving the playoffs. This is what you get when the Astros aren’t there to beat the Yankees

Did you know, in fact, Mike... that in 1981, the Cincinnati Reds had the best NL West season record and didn't reach the playoffs at all? The Dodgers won the first half, Astros the second, and Dodgers were only 1 over .500 in the second half. @darthbluesky.bsky.social@mollyknight.bsky.social 👀

Not really. In my experience, Astros fans only want to be hated on their exact terms, and if they don’t get it, they start lecturing you about exactly when, why, and how you’re allowed to talk shit

As one of God's chosen people (an Astros fan), I did have to think long and hard about it. I have decided that: 1. Shohei Ohtani 2. It would be really funny to see this Yankees FO implode at some point 3. Living through the Yankees' decade of drought was really fun and a really good time

I have beef with the Yankees on principle but the Yankees and Dodgers both got screwed by the cheating Astros in 2017 so i don't hate them as much as Houston

The still silliest thing I like to point out is how since FOX has aired the world series, at least one team competing is a market where they own or owned a station at the time of playing. Also this year will be the 8th WS in a row where both teams are in FOX markets

1996: Yankees (WNYW) / Braves (WAGA) - WAGA was in the process of being purchased by Fox, but wasn't owned until 1997
1998: Yankees (WNYW) / Padres
2000: Yankees (WNYW)/ Mets (WNYW)
-----FOX Gains Exclusive Rights to the World Series---
2001: Diamondbacks (KSAZ)/ Yankees (WNYW)
2002: Angles (KTTV)/ Giants
2003: Marlins / Yankees (WNYW)
2004: Red Sox (WFXT), Cardinals (KTVI) , at this time both stations were onwed by FOX
2005: White Sox (WFLD)/ Astros (KRIV)
2006: Cardinals (KTVI) / Tigers (WJBK)
2007: Red Sox (WFXT)/ Rockies (KDVR) , at the time KDVR was owned by FOX but was in the process of being sold
2008: Phillies (WTXF) / Rays (WTVT)
2009: Yankees (WNYW)/ Phillies (WTXF)
2010: Giants/ Rangers (KDFW)
2011: Cardinals/ Rangers (KDFW)
2012: Giants/ Tigers (WJBK)
2013: Red Sox (WFXT)/ Cardinals
2014:Giants (KTVU, the purchase was completed right during the playoffs before the WS)/ Royals
2015: Royals/ Mets (WNYW)
2016: Cubs (WFLD)/ Indians
2017: Astros (KRIV)/ Dodgers (KTTV)
2018: Red Sox / Doders (KTTV)
2019: Nationals (WTTG)/ Astros (KRIV)
2020: Dodgers (KTTV)/ Rays (WTVT)
2021: Braves (WAGA) /Astros (KRIV)
2022: Astros (KRIV)/ Phillies (WTXF)
2023: Rangers(KDFW)/ Diamondbacks (KSAZ)
