Certainly vintage pens have gone up markedly since I started scouring eBay in the 'aughts.
I'm currently at the point in my Real Housewives journey in which I'm on the early seasons of Orange County and I don't think anything encapsulates the shittiness of the aughts more. The adults are self righteous Christians even though they're the shallowest people on earth.

Okay! I think we are using “Scene” in a different way perhaps. I mean music scenes in general, and the codes of dress and aesthetics emergent from them . If this is referring the Scene/emo from the aughts, I do see the influence in the neon stripes and the hair, generally speaking.
