Now they’re fighting an enormous shark fin. It’s shooting barnacles at them, that transform into giant preying mantises once they land. They’ve done the obviously clever thing and ATTACHED THEMSELVES TO THE FIN WITH A HARPOON SO NOW ITS DRAGGING THEM AROUND

Very disappointing seawatch at Hendon today after yesterday’s incessant rain and strong NE it was still strong N blow but very few birds moving and light often poor. 20 Barnacles and a juv Pom in 2 hours says it all #NEbirding
Now it's a humpback whale covered with tubercles and barnacles!
