Yeah I'd say HN is still a beacon of discovery and distribution (despite its many flaws). Plenty of good on there, amidst the predictably ungenerous comments sections. Hard to recreate the community stewardship and dynamics of it, but exactly the kind of collective curation work I want more of.

I got to finally thank him in person at Twitchcon this year for coming on to the server like he did. He's really been a beacon for my content creation journey. I'm hoping to convince him to come back next season on Channel 64 when I finish adapting MCC's Sands Of Time for Survival ALA Decked Out.
