I know it's a cliche for 50% of Strayan tradies to be absolute cunts, but you'd expect them to not give you death glares when you're pulling a neighbour's bins back in after a collection. Ah, I lie. Even when I did roofing for a brief period (side gig, yay) it was bleak as shit then too. Hot n'all.

I've been wondering why there was so much noise outside today. Turns out someone put out a whole row of recycling bins at the curb -- they must be renovating or moving, b/c pickup day is Thursday, & that's on a non-holiday week -- and so all day folks have been passing by and rooting through.

But honestly, just random Book Off, Hard Off, ECO Town, and GEO are also worth hitting up. Definitely look through the Junk bins because 99% of the stuff works fine, they just have too many copies or it's too "ugly" for Japanese consumers to buy. I used to live over there and I went to them a lot
