I think I had an issue like that after an outage too. In my case I had to discharge the bios, there should say how to do that in your motherboard manual. (I think it should be called "Clear CMOS" or "Reset CMOS" in the manual)

Ah, okay, that makes sense! I wasn’t seeing a naturalist pattern in the first 20 or so bios I read, so jumped to conclusions. I had a weird feeling I’d gone viral (and went to the darkest place in my head)… wasn’t going to block but it was just a lot to see all on one day. Biophiliacs? Yes, please!
