I got back to 40K after a 20 year gap, but Black Templars were my guys back then when 3rd ed. came out. I haven't built or painted any Templars recently except these scouts I've been cleaning up for the Lost Patrol boardgame. I'm taking inspiration from both classic and more recent artwork.
There's an inscription around the percussion cap on the Bolter shells that reads, 'For the Emperor' and 'Duty is All' in Latin (at least according to Google Translate). Sadly I broke my golden rule of 3D printing and made it too subtle so it's barely legible.
Thought it might be cool to show off my 3D printed adaption of a Warhammer 40K bolter. Took about 3 days to print and paint the whole thing. Shockingly I only used Citadel paints too. If anyone needs the guide with files, just ask #warhammer#warhammer40k#spacemarine#spacemarines
No, I'm sorry. I don't beleive that. those people? They're in leadership positions or dead now. You don't survive the Horus Heresy and the intervening years of whatever interval you experienced fighting the Long War and remain Brother Warpyass the Bolter Grunt. You're either dead or in charge.
Cuando veo un bolter del modelo Umbra, siempre me viene a la cabeza un AK 47 sin culata. Y no se porque. #horusheresy
my newest 40k character i've made is Lieutenant Sarathiel of the 2nd Company of Blood Angels!! hes bubbly and kind, armed to the teeth with a heavy bolter named "Angel's Ire" !! he also just really likes drinking blood, so its on him constantly haha (4th pic is from @srjalapenyo.bsky.social )
