If conservatives are so committed to the idea of reviving single-income, nuclear families, then where's the plan for encouraging and promoting stay-at-home dads? By their logic, there should be no reason why women are the breadwinners and men do the uncompensated care work.
That and the fact his implication is that women are the caretakers of children, and men wouldn't want or need time off to care for children after work being breadwinners and all. I'm sure non-traditional families figured not at all when he expressed his beliefs about women's views on childrearing.
