I have to say I prefer his city scenes. Here is Harris’ 1910 Painting of ‘Row Houses, Wellington Street’. These flats still exist (although someone painted the brick 🧱). #CanadianArt

Lawren Harris (1885–1970, Canada) was a leading landscape painter, imbuing his paintings with a spiritual dimension. He was a key figure in the ‘Group of Seven’, who would collectively create a range of new representations of the Canadian landscape, particularly the North. Northern Lake (1923)
