It’s that time of year where Spockles can’t go out in the catio anymore because it’s too cold, so he gets periodically locked up in my room for several hours at a time while Ivy roams the house (see replies). Anyway, he is MAD about being locked up this morning. He’s already peed on the floor.

Fed the family. Loaded the dishwasher. Kid's in the shower. Cat's still outside enjoying her catio even though it's dark outside and cooling off. Gonna go to bed early. Life is unremarkable…which is nice.

SO and I "tried" to foster a little orange tabby that we found in the middle of the road while out for a date night. The foster plan had already gone out the window by the time we made it home. He'll be two in March.
I had wrens fly through our catio into the house on two separate occasions. The first one got out on its own, I had to catch the second one. It’s not unusual to see them inside the catio, scolding our cat. Fortunately he has zero hunting instinct.
I have yielded to the inevitable and turned the central heating on ... at least the cats are happy about that though they're still sulking about the catio door now being closed all the time
